Another trip to Montana

While Danny was working in Missoula, Weston and I went for a visit and spent the weekdays at Grandma & Grandpa's house in Melrose. It was pretty cold and we even had some snow, so Grandma found him a new hat. He helped Grandpa with yard work......including inspecting his green tomatoes (while sticking out his tounge, a new favorite trick).
He managed to get himself stuck a few times...
...and has figured out how to climb in the tub all by himself. So far if I pull the shower curtain closed, he cries and thinks he can't get into it anymore. Just a matter of time before he starts pulling it back and discovering that the tub is still there.

California trip

Weston and I made a quick weekend trip to California to pick up some cows and a horse...while we were there he attended his first football game. He was really interested in watching the cheerleaders until half time when he fell asleep.
He wasn't too happy about waking up after the game and wasn't too interested in congratulating his cousin Anthony on a good game.He does like to watch the new additions to our little cow herd.

9 Months Old

Yesterday we had our nine month well check and everything checked out fine! Weston weighs 23 pounds, 2.5 ounces, is 29 inches tall and in great health. His doctor was impressed with how many developmental milestones he has already achieved. Everyday there is something new. Over the weekend he discovered how to steer and turn around his push-walker. A nice relief for us, since now when he hits the wall, couch or chair he no longer whines until we come rescue him. He has such a big personality now and loves to play games. He also seems to be interested in lots of things...here are some possible career choices based on his recent activities:
Janitor or house-husband?

Team roper or bull rider?Optometrist or career student?Veterinarian or lion tamer?

Labor Day

We spent the holiday weekend in Montana visiting family. Danny and Olivia didn't get to come but Weston was able to spend some time with his cousin Reese, Auntie's Jen and Tami and Uncle Josh. While we were there Weston went to his first rodeo, rode the carosel and a (real) horse for the first time, and visited yet another Montana bar (there seems to be a trend here...). Relaxing in the afternoon.
Great Grandma sharing her Fuzzy Navel...
He wanted so badly to climb up on that bike, so Scott put him up on it and away they went.

Roasting hot dogs down by the river...kinda looks like an old drunk cowboy (scary).

Checking out the sheep with cousin Reese at the fair.

Sharing a toy with cousin Reese (the sharing part only lasted the first night we were there).

A lesson in walking

Weston loves to push around his walker. And he is getting really good at it...check him out at
